Why are you watching? As I said, I have found things to enjoy, mostly JBJ's outfield play. If I didn't have that, I wouldn't have it on.
I still enjoy watching the individual players perform, I'm just talking about the result. For the first time ever, I really don't care if they win or lose. Earlier in the season, I was invested in having them win. Now, with a team that isn't very competitive and the season being what it is, I find myself not really caring if they win or lose.

Can we just stop playing? I mean what's the fucking point? Just give all our opponents wins and it shouldn't mess up the playoffs since they are all going to win anyway.
I'm not sure what the logistics would look like from a payroll, rescheduling, league integrity, and player development perspective.. However, I can guaran-fucking-tee you that it's possible for you to stop watching.

Miami (oh, Miami!)
Whenever I log in to look at Dalbec's average I have a flashback to the Battlestar Galactica in flames over New Caprica with Kelley reporting a bit breathlessly - "Altitude 99 thousand - falling like a rock."

Oh, ok. I feel the same way.

Any Godfather III fans in the house? I tried to watch it several times, but could never get through it for one reason or another. It didn't seem to measure up to the franchise's formidable legacy.

they should have spent the money and gotten Robert Duvall. The cast was lacking compared to the first two.

but as Gene Siskel used to say 'Bad Coppola is still better than most other director's work'

I saw this on the espn box score ... this can't possibly be correct:

Muñoz scored, Vázquez picked off second, Devers picked off third.

It was awful.
That is too charitable. It was the worst thing to ever happen. I mean...three generations of people can't call their opposite-sex cousins "cuz" anymore because of that horribly-casted piece of fucking shit. It sucks worse than a colonoscopy, including prep day.

Awful? That's a bit harsh. Certainly not as good as the first two (How could it be?) But certainly worth watching.
Give me your fucking agonizer, Mr. Kyle.

it was almost like the let John Waters do the casting
Winona Ryder's nervous breakdown wasn't Coppola's fault. Not bothering to try to get someone else to replace her, on the other hand ...

The first one was great. The second one was the best sequel ever.
Exactly so how could the third one live up? I agree that Sophia was bad. But I didn't have a problem with the rest of it. And that's the way I feel about the Star Wars prequels too. I don't get why they are hated so much. Casting again - Hayden Christensen is terrible but one bad actor doesn't kill the whole thing for me.

Hoewever the Sox with bad pitching does kill the season for me.

"Legacy-ruining money grabs and other bad ideas" might make a good P&G thread. We can nominate Godfather III, Cut The Crap by The Clash, and this album cover33965

The 2020 Red Sox are to sports teams what Madden ‘21 is to video games. Or what E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial was to video games.
