I'm watching a bit of Bayern Munich and Köln and there's a big Red Sox banner behind Bayern's (1st half) goal.

Chelsea currently playing a back 3 of Cahill-Luiz-Azpilicueta at Hull. Can't say it's working spectacularly but it does get Victor Moses in the game at wingback which has been a treat.

Another weekend
Another West Ham fullback stretchered off.

And looking like another loss to a far less talented team. This is a mess right now.

Edit- Payet tied it as I was typing.

Chelsea get on the scoreboard, with a curling effort from Willian.

They've been by far the better side in the second half, mostly due to Hull giving the ball away far too easily and then defending poorly.

This Spurs-City match is predictably high-energy stuff from the start. Can both teams keep up this level of intensity for 90 minutes?

<afraid to say anything>

Seriously though, Spurs have been excellent. Strong performances all across the board, but Wanyama in particular has been great.

Also, Pep got his team selection wrong. City are badly missing a deep-lying playmaker, the Fernando/Fernandinho midfield pair just doesn't have enough passing ability to deal with the Spurs press. If Gundogan is fit I'd be surprised if he doesn't come on in the second half for Fernando.

this second half will be a big maturity test for Spurs, especially without Dembele to control the midfield as they try and kill it off and the subs inevitably being really young guys.
