This is the real game thread. Please ignore the other one. Eovaldi continues his resurgence tonight and the Red Sox need to go 5-1 in the remaining home games to get a winning record at home. And no one better cheer any good offensive performances by anyone on the other team unless the Red Sox are winning by 10 runs.

An incredibly great photo. Can’t even imagine how much joy Yaz will feel tonight.
Apparently he will not watch the game in person tonight. Said he will leave before the game starts. Too nervous and thinks he will be a jinx. Yaz will be in the house tomorrow night in a luxury box with the rest of the Yaz family members.

Belt hits a ton of high deep fly balls that die in marine layer night games.

He’d be a 30 HR bat in the AL East.

I haven't posted in a while but Mike Yastrzemski in LF in Fenway gave me chills. He looks like a young Yaz. Swing is similar. Would love to see him make a great play off the wall. Goose bumps. Special night.

Is it wrong of me to want young Yaz to take a ball off the wall and throw out a runner at second?

We must be at home again. Another lackluster uninspired effort. 1 lousy hit. They do realize people pay a lot for these seats, right?

I'm not crying. You're crying. That is the only time I've been psyched for an opponent HR in Fenway. Ever.

I’m at the game. Everyone went crazy for the Yaz homer; my Dad gave him a standing ovation.

Love me some baseball storybook stuff; especially when it's in "the Sox family".

pathetic effort from the whole team tonight.

we're really in trouble if Eovaldi is a 6 ERA pitcher going forward.
