I have tried to put mental and emotional brakes on thinking about Anthony breaking camp with the MLB team next spring, wanting him to have significant time at AAA to be up for good and be successful when he debuts.

However,

a .469 OBP in 34 games/160 PA, with 30/29 BB/K has me thinking things. Exciting things.

I am so confused right now. I was trying to look at Roman's stats after his 1st 5 games in AAA (3-hit game then 4 without a hit) & saw the sample was only 28 games. It definitely includes yesterday's game (September 21st).

So I doublechecked the 34 games # & that's what it said on both Fangraphs & Bref.

Then I selected the entire sample & it said 33 games...

But then I finally figured it out when I went to the Fangraphs page & saw this weird result on August 11th:

Turns out the WooSox started a game 8/11 & finished it on 9/10 as part of a doubleheader & it doesn't show up on Bref at all & only shows up on FG as a combined AAA entry even though 5 of those PAs came in his last Portland game.

So I guess the moral is, these sites apparently don't have a good way of dealing with this situation.

Looks like WooSoxers are getting ready to join the big club...6 UER with two outs in the bottom of the 9th.

Oddly SS Bobby Dalbec turns out not to be a great idea.

This would have been the 3rd out of the 9th & WooSox would have won 4-1...

Jose Adames didn't exactly bail him out after that (walk, single, walk, grand slam).

The other run was also unearned on Cam Booser in the 6th.

he needs to be in the opening day lineup hitting first or second, preferably with Campbell hitting directly ahead or behind him
