Yeah, no one claimed him. KCamp & Mayer are injured & for some reason Meidroth hasn't played in the field since August 18th (I should figure out what's up with that). They could play Tyler McDonough there if they wanted but I guess they didn't want.

You probably know why Meidroth hasn't played defense since 8/18? He has played 14 games since then, all at DH.

On the 18th, he walked in the bottom of the 3rd inning & was picked off. He stayed in to play defense in the 4th (don't think the ball came to him), & then was subbed out for defense t5 for Vaughn Grissom.

That was on a Sunday. He next played the following Thursday & has DH'd ever since when in the lineup.

Couldn't find anything contemporaneous, except he also lost a game of Twister the day before.

Yohan also pitched a scoreless 8th. Then they came with Tyler Miller in the 9th.

Seems to be a better pitcher than hitter...

1-2-3 9th inning: popout, flyout, lineout. He threw 9 pitches which were all categorized as sliders & were between 50 mph & 57 mph.

This random guy on Twitter says they were fastballs. Who knows what to believe???

Portland's win keeps them a half game behind Somerset for the 2nd half Eastern League Northeast Division playoff spot.

Unfortunately, Somerset is playing 52-82 New Hampshire this week, so we're not looking great with 2 games to go in the season.

Our opponent, Binghamton is 68-66.
