this is trending way down. the offense has been plain bad since the Colorado series two weeks ago. pitching had been adequate but most of these bullpen games will go like this. and now the white flag factor around the whole team.

Saltese: when the Red Sox pitchers can't control the plate, the Blue Jays are going up there and daddyhackin.

The Cook's Tour of the South Sea bullpen isn't leaving much room for optimism. Weber has no stuff. Johnson has no velocity. Lakins looks lacking. Kelley can't handle LHB, and so on, and on...

This team is unwatchable these days. Is this a "DD got fired" silent protest?
This is the "DD built a lousy bullpen" confirmation. It's pretty loud too.

Why take Johnson out after one batter and bring this disaster into the game.
It seems like Cora has cut bait on Johnson, and doesn't think BJ can do anything more than handle the occasional LHB.

^ reminds me of the one-hitter against Wojshit at Baltimore.

the offensive stats this year need to be clarified with how inconsistent they are and how terribly they've done in high leverage. it's hampered their performance greatly, but ultimately didn't sink the season, either.

This is a team that has quit. It’ll probably lu be a good thing if they just lose out the string and get higher in the draft order. There’s some NL teams still alive in the wild card who might sneak past them if they can go 4-16 or so down the stretch. I’d like to see EdRo and Eovaldi do well to finish it out. They should shut down Workman, he’s already pitched more than he ever has, and no reason to use Barnes or Taylor anymore either. Use Hernandez as the closer and see if he steps up under the bright lights. Run the AAAA guys out there otherwise.

That might affect ticket sales. Gotta run the corpses out.

Started weak. Ended weak.

I’m ok with a 2-3 year rebuild at this point. There’s so little major league talent on this team right now.
Is this sarcasm?

Benintendi
Bradley
Betts
Devers
Bogaerts
Moreland
Vazquez
Sale
Price
Rodriguez
Eovaldi
Barnes
Workman

That's more than half of the roster comprised of well above-average major league talent.

if numbers 8 and 9 don't produce the rest won't win
