Really nice to see Grissom go on a serious hitting bender recently. That avg and ops have been climbing pretty quickly. Too bad the season ends soon!

good to have some momentum headed into the offseason. It’s a lost year and next one is huge for him. I’m betting on his talent!

Katie Morrison-O’day, who covers the WooSox for Mass Live reports manger Chad Tracy said it was a strain or muscle spasm behind the shoulder blade area. They may give him tomorrow off, but doesn’t feel like it’s a major thing.

I thought selecting Blake Wehunt over... basically any other Greenville pitcher... to start for Portland after the Greenville season ended was a bit odd (Wehunt had a 4.43 ERA in 13 starts after being promoted from Salem), & he didn't really dispel that.

The tradition in the organization is winning. The fact that they know who the prospects are in Low-A says a lot about the fanbase as a whole. They seem to care about the future and trust the draft picks. I think it’s awesome that they can pay attention to a minor leaguer’s career and watch them move up and be in their corner the whole way. That is one of the biggest things for a minor leaguers player. The season is long, and it is very up and down, so if you can have people that don’t even know you as a person root for you, it speaks volumes.”
