Mr. Happ,

Please bear with me, I understand the letter writing bit is getting old, but a streak is a streak and we all do what we must.

You’ve got no easy task in front of you. Toronto’s offense looks great lately and I’m not sure your teammates are up to launching bombs every single night. So hey, a strong outing might be necessary to keep the party going.

No pressure. Do your best. But don’t be ‘that guy’, the one who ends the party when the guests are chill and the vibe is still good.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, Hernandez is playing CF and Drury 1B, that makes a lot more sense.

Severino threw 23 pitches off a mound just now, first time he's been on a mound in the recovery process.

"He said it went “better than I expected.” Didn’t think he’d be able to see action on his secondary pitches yet, but he did. Threw changeups and two sliders in addition to his fastball. Severino still believes his recovery will allow him to come back in time to help his team as a starter."

That RLRLRLRLS lineup is a far cry from our initial lineups, which were a lot closer to RRRRRRRRL.

That is a good point, although NY is hitting RHP (.836, 1st in MLB) slightly better than LHP (.825, 4th in MLB).

Only one opening day starter in the lineup tonight. This team is remarkable, even with Happ throwing batting practice every fifth day.

So now we get Judge, right? He's going to win this game off the bench.

Wow, Gardner was literally not saying anything, maybe the worst ejection I've ever seen if there's not something we didn't see.

Ah, there you go, Maybin said something, Gardner said nothing. Putrid job by the ump.

Ridiculous that DJ doesn't get an error for that and those runs are earned, two of NY's best defenders with a chance to end that inning (Urshela/DJ) and neither did.

Very strong 3 innings/48 pitches from Loaisiga in AAA tonight, please get him up here next time around.

Have to admit I've been watching more of the Mets game than the Yankees one. News bulletin: pitchers batting is still stupid.

The Mets GM got a lot smarter lately.
We're about to see, as their schedule is way tougher the rest of the way and giving away two of your best pitching prospects to upgrade from Vargas (who was pitching well) to Stroman looks kind of dumb under any circumstances.

So Nestor is in now and NY is going with a bullpen game tomorrow? Really don't know why they let Loaisiga pitch in AAA tonight.
