Moncada's been a beast in July and August with an OPS around 1 - it might be time to move him up to Salem. Devers, Benintendi, Guerra, Espinoza, Moncada, Kopech in the lower minors showcase the tremendous job the organization has done in keeping the Sox minor league system one of the best - now the best - in baseball

Agree that there's a lot to get excited about, just unfortunate that most of it is 2 years away.  For the MLB team in 2016, not a ton looking like immediate help, other than Sam Travis.

And only Kopech is a pitcher.

Did they make Espinoza switch positions recently?
Espinoza is more than 2 years away. Though, to be fair, so are Devers, AXBasabe, and Chavis.

P91's broader points still hold. The Sox farm system needs to find more pitching, and is quite weak above A-ball.

Of course. that's with a notable exception for the 25-and under crew who (along with Ortiz) are about the only things currently making the MLB team even remotely competitive.

Yeah, I was just talking about the Greenville guys. I'm as excited about Espinoza as one can be about a 17 year old in the GCL. The last time I paid this much attention to someone down there was Tony Blanco, and we all know what a stud he's been for the past decade plus!
