Felix Cepeda did everything BUT give up a run in the first, giving up an infield single (who was then caught stealing) and then bookending a pair of strikeouts around three consecutive walks (and a wild pitch). Jeison Pena yielded a pair of unearned runs on three hits and a walk over six frames; whiffing a pair. Jose Larez let in one unearned run on two hits, a walk, and a hit by pitch over the final two innings; striking out one.

Gilberto Jimenez, Wilker Vargas, and Lewis Baez each blasted two hits in five ventures; Jimenez with a triple and a stolen base. Fabian Andrade singled once and walked twice in five forays. Including last night's game, his season line is now .300/.332/.387. That is amazing considering where he was at the end of July (.271/.310/.342.) He's another one of my binkies but he's been pretty disappointing this year up until recently. The guy doesn't really strike out or walk either but he hits for solid contact and has a career .320 batting average to date.
