Aren't the Royals supposed to be terrible?
As someone who put a wager on them preseason to finish under 69.5 wins (I heard Sal Perez was out for the year and figured they'd be extra bad) they are, indeed, bad. 11th in runs allowed in the AL and 13th in runs scored. Three of their (semi) regulars have an OPS+ under 57 (O'Hearn, Lopez, Billy Hamilton) and only one of their starters has an ERA+ of 100+ (Junis).

could have gone under 59.5. maybe.

What do you doo with a $17 million dollar pitcher that can’t start, close or relieve?
I dunno but FIP thinks he's just awesome. Nine batters faced, five Ks, no walks, no HRs. And by the way 28 strikes vs 8 balls. How can a guy have such great peripherals and still give up a run pretty much every time he's out there.
