If this pitcher managed to go through Little League, travel, high school, Kennesaw State and then the minors without getting ragged on by teammates for his surname, I would be shocked.
Seems he could have worked that to his advantage in some settings. Perhaps not baseball but could be well aligned with getting to second base.

Didn’t someone in the gamethread last month want to trade for Soler?
That was me. I thought his bat will be helpful and the rest of my plan was move JBJ for a bag of balls and play Mookie or Beni in center. The problem is I got crushed as if I was Cashner.
Not watching, working on the PC and taking a glance at at gameday and SOSH.
Will watch the fifth and sixth later to watch Freddy. The biggest frustration in my whole life (I know, I know) was that the 75-79 team didn´t win.

Vazquez continues his career year at the bat. It's a shame he didn't turn out to be a generational defensive talent, but he's still a pretty good catcher.

Well, they could always show Fred Lynn in his Hawaiian shirt again. If Fred hasn't already gone home.
Tom Werner should sign Lynn to do a Red Sox takeoff on Magnum P.I. with a well-dressed Rice in the John Hillerman role.

What just happened? I am so used to the Sox hurlers getting into deep counts and throwing a ton of pitches in almost every AB.

I don't think they're gonna have a 20-game win streak this month

Sometimes your are the mower and sometimes you are the prick. Unfortunately for the Boston Red Sox, Cashner has been mostly a prick.
