Tauchman is now ahead of DJ and Judge in OPS, .909 to .903 to .902.

5 HRs and they are from Romine, Gardner, Ford and 2 from Tauchman.

Tauchman's slash line is .294/.368/.541. Here are the other AL players with 150+ ABs who are ahead of all three of those numbers:

Yordan Alvarez
Xander Bogaerts
Rafael Devers
Mike Trout

I find the lack of a K zone thing on MASN refreshing. I miss judging ball/strike for myself.

I love Chris Davis. Funny to look back on the ALDS a few years ago and how scary it was when he was up.

Has anyone talked about NY's pitching plan for tomorrow? They could start Tarpley and hope he could get through 3, I guess, but I think they need to go off the board with someone like Daniel Camarena (who sucks) or even someone not on the 40 man currently.

I feel like there is something in common here but I can't quite put my finger on it...

Yankees Most HR in a Game This Season:

7 (April 7 at Baltimore)
5 (Aug 5 at Baltimore)
5 (May 22 at Baltimore)

Felix Pie was just mentioned on MASN due to the cycle. They're very excited, by the way.

The cycle is fucking stupid.

I think NY is 20-0 now when they use all four end relievers.

So curious what the plan will be to get nine innings tomorrow, the Green/Cortes Jr pair is only on two days rest. Loaisiga? CC out of the blue? Tarpley until his arm falls off (and then who)? Camarena is not good but on full rest and on the 40 man, so maybe?

My man Feyereisen is the most deserving arm in AAA, but he is a 2-3 inning guy at max and they need innings tomorrow. I hope he gets a shot down the stretch, he should be next man up in the Joe Harvey role.

Is this the Cleveland one? They came back and won that the next inning, I thought. Maybe a partial blow? :)
Yeah, I thought about clarifying that but then they won. Technically, both times, he had a win in his hands and blew it, then they went and re-earned it.

The box tonight is hilarious:

DJ/Didi/Gleyber-2 for 15, two singles.
Ford/Gardner/Romine/Tauchman/Valera-9 for 20 with a triple and 5 HRs, all 9 runs scored and all 8 RBIs.

Ben McDonald is the color man on MASN tonight. I remember all kinds of 90s guys, especially from the O's since I moved here in 94, but I do not remember him at all.

Tauchman is incredible.

I was wondering who that guy was - I could not place the voice. He was a HUGE deal in Baltimore when he came up. Big tall guy, threw hard. Ended up in MIL if I recall, and never did much at all.

He was a tall lefty selected first overall. I had about 800 of his rookie cards. Sadly, it was an earlier indicator of my investing sense rather than an outlier determined by bad luck.

You must be my age, Al! Memory goes first. Ben threw with his right arm. I looked him up. He came up around the same time as Mussina. Finished with 78 wins.

I was in one of the first few Rotisserie Leagues in 1990 when I worked at Time (we had one of the guys from Glen Waggoner's original AL league in our league too) and Ben McDonald was very good for my team as a rookie 22 year old, but he mostly fizzled after that.
