That’s quite a take. Dombrowski has been gone for three years, and was in charge when exactly two players in todays lineup (JD and Duran), and none of the pitchers were acquired.
The Sox are paying around $60m to 3 starting pitchers this season that Dombrowski signed or extended and getting value from 1. That's a huge part of why Bloom has the lineup he has.

In the old Astroturf days, Perez' ball would have kept rolling along that wall Used to be like playing marbles. Boston played some horrible games there.

Cora is surely calmer than me. Trying to steal a game down 3 games in the standings in early August may be best in the long run, but was frustrating when it didn’t work.

In a year that has been so improbable, the impossible has happened.
That was brilliant timing.
I remember the Darwinzon experience, but I was hoping not to repeat it.
Hernandez is a minor leaguer. Why is he pitching in a tie game?
As soon as I saw DH warming and the Sox failed to go ahead, I knew he'd be coming in. No masochist, I tuned away from the game.
And in a year that has been so predictable, the inevitable happened.

The fact Schreiber, Houck, Whitlock and Sawamura didn't make an apperance is unacceptable. Cora's bullpen managment is shit.

If we had gone ahead, I'm sure Whitlock or one of our better pitchers would have come in. But we didn't.

Bitching about this in the main board... but that's no way to win games. Holding your best 4 pitchers until there's a lead is a good way to blow close games into guaranteed losses.
Really unhappy with how Cora has managed the pen this year.
