Mr. Hicks,

Ever since your heroics in that last Minnesota game, you've been scuffling a little bit. One hit in 19 at bats with seven strikeouts. We all know you can do better. I'm going to make the assumption that you'll be playing in game 2 tonight, so here's the deal: the Red Sox are reeling, and winning at least three of four against them dig that hole just a little bit deeper. Way too early for a knockout blow, but when you have a team on the ropes, you need to do what you can finish them.

I have a feeling you might play a big role tonight, hero or goat. Don't sweat it though, I worked intel in a past life and that means my predictions are usually wrong. But still, it would be really nice if you could have a good game. Having you and Judge struggling at the same time is not ideal. Especially with so many guys on the IL and with EE just getting hit on the wrist. Even if he plays (I kinda doubt it), he'll probably be compromised. DJ can't bring all the firepower. Now is a good time to turn it back on.

Your Friend,

The Other EE

Didi still out, they’re hoping he can start tomorrow.

Also I think Happ is pitching tomorrow, this is a Green into Cortes Jr. game.

Well, I wouldn’t play Maybin two games, but hard to complain after that.

No timetable yet, but looked like he got hit in the same place that Judge did last year, and he was out about seven weeks, which would put it into late September.

Clint Frazier is a DH option also, but Ford is a 1B plus he is leading the IL in OPS.

Honestly they only need one of Voit/Encarnacion/Stanton to come back and DH, then they can go with their best defensive infield (DJ/Gleyber/Didi/Urshela).

I was going to say it yesterday, but Devers vs. Gleyber is going to be fascinating to watch for a long time. Devers was ahead in 2017 as he came up first, then Gleyber passed him last year and coming into this season, and now Devers is out ahead again. They don't play the same position but they are almost the exact same age (Gleyber is about 7 weeks younger).

I saw Maybin running as the camera cut to CF and thought "he's getting back, right?". Wow.

Um, Cameron, we'll forgive you because you got the two run double, but that ain't good.

Trying to steal a couple of innings with Chance, not thrilled but not so many alternatives. Cessa threw 50 pitches on Tuesday, so this would be 3 days rest for him.

Yeah, I might have gone to Tarpley but he's pretty unreliable too. They just need to keep scoring.

Much needed DP.

Boone could go to the top 4 guys now if he wants.
