Pedroia hit .191 inn his first 89 AB. Duran's had fewer than 50 AB. I know Pedroia with 15 years ago, but maybe that's a good yardstick for minimum number?
That team was out of the pennant race, so they gave him a look. This team is in a pennant race and he is not as good a prospect as Pedroia was at that point.

Undisciplined at the plate. Been the story for a long time with this group. Between that and the sheer amount of hittable pitches that get fouled straight back, it's a miracle that they are where they're at.

They look completely dead in their soul.

Been a bottom-5 offense for over a month now. Bad hitting and mediocre pitching is not a recipe for success.

Just have to hope for an at 'em ball here. Gonna be walks and hard hit balls from this point on for Garrett.

I mean, its Richards, but damn, 3 runs is not horrible and this offense doesn't look like it will ever score more than three again. Lots of 2 out walks and hits but no clutch hitting.
And Richards is not the guy going when Sale comes back. It will be Perez.

Back in the glory days, we'd have been freaking out over that 3-2 pitch until someone posted the Brooks Baseball graph and everyone calmed down.

Marwin being Marwin is a terrible movie to sit through. Boring, predictable, lacking in art.
