Still paying for dirty Marchand plays from like 5+ years ago, and still have the reputation of the team of long gone players like Lucic and Horton and Thornton. It’s fucking insane.

I think it’s more the licking thing. Pissed a lot of people off in Canada.

right here
So Johnson tackles Krug, and punches him in front of the ref, before the goal with TB in possession.

Fuckin joke
I’m old enough to remember the penalty and resulting vapors when McAvoy’s glove may or may not have made contact with a Tampa head on a hit

Perhaps the B’s thought the NhL was boycotting games tonight as well?

These last 20 minutes should be about deciding how they want the rest of the series to go. There's plenty of veteran leadership and they need to be pretty vocal about this bullshit.
If I was Bruce I’d start with “Do you mother fuckers want to go home? Because if you don’t start playing, you’re going home Sunday night.”

This is why as an organization, you have to figure out why you’re team is getting screwed by the refs three years in a row and fix it. Because eventually, the guys throw their hands up and say fuck it why am I working hard.

could have avoided this matchup another round if they played like they gave a damn in round robin.

or: round robin format screwed them too as they had the 1 seed on lock

Under normal seeding they'd have been playing Tampa this round anyway

Officiating or not, the Bruins have been dominated for the better part of 3 games here. They were in line for this kind of drubbing. Need some kind of response here, they are fortunate they're still in the series.

Humiliating the Leafs in three different Gane 7s was bound to have consequences. Toronto wasn’t going to stand for that forever.

Yup. Halak keeping them afloat in game 1 was enormous - doesn't feel like they'll only be down 2-1 at the end of this one.

I chalk tonight up to one team being allowed to play and the other not so much. The other two were 1 goal games.

I'm sure the gloves will stay on, but I'd like to see Chara try to engage Pat Maroon here. They do have a history, they fought twice this season and once 2 years ago, but with the score out of hand I think Maroon probably laughs and skates away.
