A lot of guys would have to still be out for Ford to make a postseason roster.

I mean, Voit would likely be back in the next day or two if NY was on the East Coast or they didn't have a big division lead.

Defense is upgraded again, Ford out and DJ back to 1B and Wade to 2B.

Chapman has not pitched in 8 days, since the Indians series last Saturday. He was awesome in that series, hopefully he is still sharp after the long layoff.

Gio joins the party, nice.

A-Rod, that is the exact opposite of true. HRs are even more important in the postseason when it is harder to group together baserunners against top pitchers. This has been studied quite a bit, please investigate.

"And he’ll still be banging the top of the dugout with a walker capped with tennis balls."-Marc Carig

He’ll only be 76 in 40 years. That’s not old.

Chapman squeezed a bit there, but throw more fastballs, make them hit it.

Oh that was nasty, good pitch call to double up the slider and throw it out of the zone, Hernandez had to be thinking FB there.

Great win against a great team at their beautiful stadium. Domingo's composure after giving up a lead-off homer and double was impressive and reassuring.

The hopeful postseason rotation of Tanaka/Paxton/German/Severino (in some order) looks a lot better than it did a month ago, throw in six closers (the current back 4/Green*/Betances) and two of CC/Cortes/Deivi and aggressive usage of the closers, and you've got yourself a pitching staff.

*Green's season stats are quite bad but that is mostly because of his neo-Blass like first 15 appearances, he was rocking a 16.43 ERA when he got sent to AAA to try to fix things. It took another month or so, but he has been back to his stud self since late May, often in the tough opener role. He has allowed only 13 ERs in his 40 innings since then, 5 of those in that ugly Indians start. He has an amazing 55/8 K/BB ratio in those 40 innings, he has been a top 10 reliever for a full season before (2017), so I'm counting him in the 'closer' category.
