Emerson Ortiz allowed five runs (two earned) on six hits in five frames; striking out one. Royman Blanco relinquished one hit and plunked a batter in the sixth. Alvaro Leal tossed a 1-2-3 seventh. Jose Larez yielded one hit in the eighth.

Leonel Jimenez hit a single and a double in four jaunts. Wilker Vargas whipped a single and drew a walk in four ventures. Gilberto Jimenez garnered a double in three junkets before being replaced by Ruben Hernandez who was hit by a pitch. Denny Daza delivered a single in three dalliances.
