The Red Sox and this message board have brought me many years of joy, so I will not abdicate game thread responsibilities when it's clear we're going to need more starters than ever this season. Even though this team is not bringing me any joy in this shitty year.

They've gotta luck into a win at some point, right?

Do NOT NOT NOT be the first Red Sox team to lose all of their regular season games in one season to this organization at either the Polo Grounds, Shea Stadium , all three renditions of LSF/DT and the first go around in Baltimore (Oriole Park 1901-1902). Even the 1932 squad won a game at LSF/DT 1.

I would echo that. What I remember about the 1965 Sox is that (and I just confirmed it to make sure) they won 1 out of 18 games against the pennant-winning Twins. The 2020 Sox are 4 losses away from going 0-fer against the Yanks; and 1-5 versus the Rays.

It has to end sooner or later. You can't lose them and you can't win them all. Tonight is the night.

Perez can't throw it in the ocean even if he was on the beach. FFS, this isn't gonna end well.

I am at the stage I am praying that the season has to be terminated early because of the medical crisis... Injuries happen, which teh Sox usually are able to overcome... But this abysmal excuse for a season is going to be the price we pay for selling our minor league talent to bring home the last pennant... I am no fairweather fans but I am thanking my maker for Hulu...

Honestly, is there more than a couple of our guys who would make that MFY’s roster? X, Devers (as a reserve?) Vasquez, maybe Verdugo? That’s it. That’s how bad we are.
