Not exactly a pitching match-up for the ages. Tonight is the opening game of a 4 game series that should prove to be a little more difficult than our last series. On the other hand, Cleveland is still missing Kluber and the pitching match-ups seem to favor NYY.

I've run out of new players to highlight for making major contributions. Thus, I'm going to switch gears to focus on some comeback players.

Chad Green allowed 14 earned runs in March/April over 7ip. Since then, he has allowed a total of 11 in 40ip. 4HR in April, 3 since then. 4 walks in April, 8 over the next 4 months. After taking on the role of "opener" and swiss-army knife for the bullpen, he has been a huge piece of our bullpen puzzle and incredibly effective. He let off 4er against Boston in July but has no let off more than 1ER in any other appearance since May 19th. Just reading his season line won't show it, but Chad Green has been awesome this season. Thanks Chad!!

Gonna miss most or all of this one live as I have a concert to go to, but I think we might get Loaisiga as the long man today, exciting.

If the postseason began today there would be a big possibility that CLE would be the opponent. So, beat them!

They were due for one of these. Sometimes you are the dog, and sometimes you are the hydrant.

Abbey’s going to be so disappointed with Loisiaga.
Nah, first game in months and sounds like he was rushed in earlier than planned. They need to see what they have in him, don’t forget he was basically even with German out of spring training.

I’m a big fan of ‘personal run differential’ as a baseball fan. If I don’t see the other team score 7 in the first, my season long experience is just a bit more enjoyable.

And the concert (Olivia Block) was great...

Mike Ford was a good pitcher in college, Ivy League pitcher of the year.

If the game were closer, Francona might have challenged for interference on that one.

It's not easy to score in four straight innings and still be down by 14.

I don't even know who NY can bring up for Adams, maybe one of the guys they just claimed in Hernandez or Dull and DFA Adonis Rosa for a 40 man spot.

Ivy League boy finally figured it out his last batter, against Roberto Perez who had three hits before this:

58.7 mph (called strike)
53.2 mph (swinging strike)
82.1 mph (foul ball)
67.2 mph (called strike three)

Whoa, it might be Domingo Acevedo for Chance Adams, he went on the AAA IL about a week ago but he posted on Instagram he is in NY and he has been on the 40 man all season. He has not been great in the minors this year but he has genuine prospect pedigree, he will likely get two games active before CC is back Sunday.
