He should be unanimous, but unfortunately some dope will vote against him the first year.Watching one of the greatest hitters to ever play the game. Better be a unanimous HOF.
Big confidence level there. He doesn’t like the runner on second with a two plus run lead.
When it is two outs with a two plus run lead runner on second, Jansen sometimes balks to move the runner to third so he doesn’t have to see the runner dancing in his peripheral vision since he has that look backwards thing on his wind up.Since I couldn't see it and was afraid to listen to it, can someone explain the intentional balk thing to me?
Kenley not wanting a player on 2nd (sign/grip stealing?) with 2 outs and multiple run lead. He dropped the ball for an intentional balk, ump didn't give it, he picked it up again and immediately dropped it, Balk given.Since I couldn't see it and was afraid to listen to it, can someone explain the intentional balk thing to me?
Oh, thanks. That seems unusual. When it is two outs with a two plus run lead runner on second, Jansen sometimes balks to move the runner to third so he doesn’t have to see the runner dancing in his peripheral vision since he has that look backwards thing on his wind up.
That went to shit in a hurry.Glad I kept my expectations low for Jameson Taillon against the Jays today.
Has he actually said that? I thought it might be a concern over the runner providing pitch location (if not stealing signs with pitchcom) to the batter. When it is two outs with a two plus run lead runner on second, Jansen sometimes balks to move the runner to third so he doesn’t have to see the runner dancing in his peripheral vision since he has that look backwards thing on his wind up.
I haven‘t heard him discuss. Yeah, maybe the signal/position stealing, but since he’s done it a couple of times even with the electronic signals, I assume he just doesn’t like the distraction.Has he actually said that? I thought it might be a concern over the runner providing pitch location (if not stealing signs with pitchcom) to the batter.
We should be complete by November!Houck should be back soon too. This isn’t even our final form.
If you're paying that much, peacock may be free to you.I pay Xfinity $400 per month to get everything especially the Sox. This PPV Peacock BS really burns my bacon
Haha - Yeah then Sale can get his left arm caught in a garbage disposal at Thanksgiving. We should be complete by November!
I saw it on the broadcast, but I've replayed the clip a few times too. That blind tag by Urias was freaking sweet.
ThisWatching one of the greatest hitters to ever play the game. Better be a unanimous HOF.
Truth be told, I was hoping it remained Yaz as the last triple crown winner.Gotta be. Only triple crown in 55 years.
Story got in place for the cutoff/relay, and Urias was ready for the throw. I don't know if Urias thought about it ahead of time but he moved his glove in the most direct/efficient path to the spot right in front of the bag. If you don't have eyes-on the runner (because you have to make the catch first) it's the best thing you can possibly do. (Also kudos to Pablo for arriving on the scene.)I saw it on the broadcast, but I've replayed the clip a few times too. That blind tag by Urias was freaking sweet.
Sure. . .but Cabrera did it absolutely fair and square against legit competition over a full season. (If the triple crown or .400 BA had been accomplished in 2020 - Ugh!)Truth be told, I was hoping it remained Yaz as the last triple crown winner.
Wow! They outdid the Sox!WOW - MFY meltdown by Holmes in 9th. Marlins score 5 to win 8-7
It's a WAS vs OAK game, does that really count as the majors?I was looking at the Nationals probable starters for the next series and noticed the headline from todays game.
Nats’ rally in 9th sets up Jeter Downs walk-off
Had no idea he was in the majors.
No doubt Miggy deserved it, but I watched Yaz's and the Sox's magical season of 1967, including the rousing two game sweep of the Twins at the end and then waited for the Angels to eliminate the Tigers. So, I (guess) selfishly, I wanted to keep that all together.Sure. . .but Cabrera did it absolutely fair and square against legit competition over a full season. It's not like a single season record. Yaz still had the Triple Crown that year no matter what Miggy did 35 years later. No doubt Miggy deserved it, but I watched Yaz's and the Sox's magical season of 1967, including the rousing two game sweep of the Twins at the end and then waited for the Angels to eliminate the Tigers. Last man to win the triple crown has a ring to it, like the last man to hit .400.It's not like a single season record. Yaz still had the Triple Crown that year no matter what Miggy did 35 years later.
I was at the game and happy the Tigers got a couple baserunners in the 8th so he could get an at bat in the 9th. It was a nice send off. The umps are being reasonable now, too. The guy behind the plate didn't start the pitch clock until the standing ovation was over.
This is different, I believe. I was getting it on that promo until Xfinity decided to end it and charge customers an additional fee. Then I canceled it.I think that promotion ended recently. Google confirms.
I catch maybe one game per week these days so my morning coffee time now also includes watching the Youtube game summaries. Agree, I'd like to see a few more highlights but they do help...I am grateful for this summary of the game on YouTube. They missed a few things I would have liked to see, but it was better than nothing.
