Happy Anderson Espinoza Day!

4 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K

Espinoza's worst start of his career so far is a 4 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3BB, 2 K game.  That's just insane to me.

Worth noting as well that the guy who came in after him - Nick Duron - now has pitched 20.1 IP and has a 1.33 ERA with a 26/3 K/BB at age 19.  Not Espinoza-level impressive but someone perhaps to keep an eye on in Greenville next year.

Quintin Berry of all people went yard to give Pawtucket a 2-0 lead. Then they had the Clydesdales lap the field before the top of the 2nd, taking 5 minutes. The beer wagon being practice for having jackwagons delay the game singing God Bless America at the toilet.

Chavis finally starting to show something of a hot streak - now up to a .282/.333/.487 line in August, though he still is striking out a third of the time up there.  At least it seems now he is punishing pitchers when he does make contact.  Season line up to a more respectable .672 OPS overall.

Is Ed-Esc a potential bullpen guy up in the majors? I don't know anything about his stuff. I do know that we were collectively unexcited enough for me to not think he's a propsective rotation guy, which makes me wonder why he's starting in AAA? Maybe just needs more innings at this phase of his career?

Pawtucket has essentially no starting pitchers left so someone has to do it. My understanding is Escobar's future is the bullpen.
