At the end of the Orioles series last week, I started to feel bad for them. Now that we lost two to Toronto, I’d like to keep crushing them.

As I hope to start a new streak, highlighting our season saviors seems apt. Urshela had no realistic hopes of being the starting 3b for a team who was supposed to sign Machado and who had the runner-up for rookie of the year already there. When Yankees fans saw Andujar go down, the reaction was that we screwed up by letting Manny go but at least we would have good defense. How wrong we were...

Gio has a .323 BA, .940ops, 17hr, and 55k through 313 AB
manny has .265 BA, .818ops, 24hr, and 100k through 441 AB

Lots of good injury news already today, Severino and Betances both threw bullpens that went very well, Voit says he feels a hundred percent and just needs to get up to speed hitting again, and Hicks is hoping to get medical clearance to throw again later today.

NY lost the very first series of the season to BAL 2-1 and have won all 12 times they've played since then, this is their final series of the season. BAL is coming off by far their best win of the year yesterday, scoring 4 off Verlander and then 3 off Osuna to steal the game from HOU in the bottom of the 9th, breaking HOU's 8 game winning streak.

Paxton threw 29 pitches, 22 strikes in first inning. An infield hit, hard single to CF and a SF plated the run. Orioles made Paxton work hard. Not his fault.

Orioles lost 24-2 on Saturday to Houston and then upset the Astros on Sunday. Maybe they use blowout games to set their opponents up.
Well, if they sacrifice Ynoa to set up their bullpen for game two, they certainly have a better chance. I can appreciate a certain amount of ruthlessness.

Need to keep scoring so we can use Lail and/or Mantiply in this one.

Gio just hit one 461 feet over bullpen in left center. Pitcher made him look pathetic on previous pitch, a slider on the outside corner. Then a mistake inside. You do not want to miss inside on Gio.

So, is Judge injured? My dad and I were thinking that the reason he goes to right field so much this season is because he is trying to protect against an injury to his core. I could see him playing through an injury because of all the other injuries, but I'm just trying to figure out why he has such a lack of power this year - especially considering the power surge by nearly everyone else in the league.

Seems as plausible as any other guess. We knew the oblique injury would be an issue and he hasn’t been the same power-wise. Whatever it is, I’m sure the Yankees are working on it but he certainly hasn’t been able to turn on inside fastballs the same way.

well I dropped it on my old car the year they refused my offer of a one time flat $85 (which is what they had accepted the year before) and I explained: If I leave I NEVER come back, I am 100% pure profit for you, I pay it all right now, your costs are exactly the same so take $85 pure income or... nothing. They activated a trial on the car i just bought and at the same time I got an offer on the old account (5 years later) for $4.98/mo for a year. After idiotic arguments with script kiddie reps in Bangladore (or wherever) I finally got to a stateside human and they took my $68 (after taxes, of course) to keep it on in the new vehicle...

Orioles make it 8-5 with two runs in 8th, mostly off Cessa. Britton got the final two outs, although he walked in a run.

That could have been worse, maybe leave Britton in for the 9th, he threw 11 pitches.

Chapman warming, never mind.

The only thing XM is really good for (since they now have only one classical and one opera channel) is driving the length of NH with John & Susan
The paid version (free with MLB.tv) of the At Bat app gives you home and away radio feeds for every game.

At Bat is not 'radio', by definition it is an app, which means it is delievered via Internet or Cellular, not broadcast. Radio means AM or FM or Sat (XM/Sirus) and if I had the app and didn't care my phone tied up using it for this during business hours, you clearly have never driven the hills and valleys of NH ot Vt if you think you can ever get anything even beginning to approximate decent continuous cellphone or wifi service.
