Regardless of the walk, I didn't like pinch-hitting there. I'd rather give Travis as many chances to succeed as possible

Can we just go ahead and call that line a “Taylor”? And while we’re at it:

1.2 3 3 3 5 1

Can we call that a “Cashner”?

I think DH3 has another term for the "Cashner". Btw, did he post this many sky-is-falling things last year? There are some folks who are all about the negativity - they enjoy it more than success it seems - and he seems to be one.

I don't know why anyone is shocked that Cashner has been awful since coming over (save one game).

He won 9 games in Baltimore with ZERO PRESSURE TO WIN. He comes over to the defending champs who still believe(d) they can get back into it and suddenly his performance is under a microscope every time out. Dude just isn't made for big league ball.

Even if the two guys he gave up turn out to be nothing, picking up Cashner was still an awful move and has done NOTHING to fix the staff or spare the bullpen.

Eovaldi seems to be very interested in his velocity, moreso than location.
Isn't this still basically spring training, of a sort, for him? He was brought back to the bolster the bullpen because, or so we've been told, it was the fastest path back to the big leagues. He's probably still getting a feel for everything again.

And what have you seen this season that indicates Moreland being a better option than Travis?
The Angels replaced a LH starter with a RH reliever. Travis has a big platoon split (ie, he sucks against RHP). Moreland has a platoon split too -- he hits better against RHP.

This was one case where Cora made the right call in the middle innings.

Does "pressure to win" make a difference for a professional athlete?
