Professional AB from DJ, doing what needs to be done. Maybe Judge can get another one in.
DJ look pissed by his second knockdown of the day. But he didn’t mouth off. He took about 20 seconds before he got back in the box, worked along count, hit a deep SF to right. Home run in YS.

0-2 pitch, Vladdy triples down the first base line. Weird swing, defensive, late, grounder all the way. Ball started foul and skipped just fair past first, then back into foul territory.

Ottavino needed 31 pitches for 3 outs. Bichette battled his ass off to stay alive. Biggio singled on first pitch. Vladdy hit an 0-2 pitch. Those three are the future of the Jays.

They should bat Tauchman much higher in the lineup, 1st or 2nd and push everyone else down one.

Maybin fans on a curveball. Britton taking care of business in bottom of the eighth.

Tauchman and DJ will both hit in the ninth. The lineup seems short since Voit went down.

And I agree with Abbey. Tauchman should be hitting up near the top.

Yankee fan drops Bichette’s liner that sliced foul into front row. Zach finally K’s Bichette, who swings at everything. We go to the ninth!

Toronto has a lot to build on. Young prospects playing hard in August. They could be spoilers if there were a pennant race going on somewhere.

Boston really could have put a big dent in NY's season in that series in NY last week. Getting swept was bad but if they had battered the NY pitching staff, NY would be in even bigger trouble now with pitching depth, having to make moves that Cashman is reluctant to make and maybe losing a prospect or two from the 40 man list.

As it is, still 9 games in the next 8 days.

9-4 in the Bo Bichette era now, they did just take 2 of 3 from TB before this (who are fighting for a wild card).

Tauchman up to 4th in the AL in OPS (minimum 200 PAs), behind Trout, Nelson Cruz and Joey Gallo.
