I dunno if you can just keep extending the “stretching” indefinitely.
Yeah. I just feel like they paid for a 220-230 inning pitcher and this bullpen could use one of those helping them out this season. Price averaging 5.1 per has been bothering me. I feel like we should expect a little better than that. Glad we got runs since I bitched though.

One pitcher in all of MLB pitched even 220 innings last year, 220.2 to be exactly ... Max Scherzer. Only 10 pitched more than 200

Fair enough. He did go 220+ three years in a row going into 2017 and I suppose that's unsustainable and obviously contributed to the elbow issue. I hope Price can stave off the bullpen for 6-7 innings more regularly, a pretty obvious statement, but we just don't have the horses in the pen to win with regular 5 inning performances from him and Sale.

he's gone 6 pretty regularly, his average per start is pulled way down by 1 horrible start and the game vs Houston where he faced 3 batters and left with the flu

Price getting hugs in the dugout.....appears to be done for the day.....5 innings, 99 pitches

Bring on the Pen!!
Price had a decent first half of the season. They will need him to do more of the same in the second half.

Workman’s off is gonna snap off.

And he’ll still be a better bullpen option that anyone else we have.
