Paul O'Neill's 1994 was a sight to see. DJ reminds me a bit of him. Not personality-wise, of course.

Forgot to mention Gardner’s two-run homer into the second deck in the 8th for a 5-1 lead that allowed Boone to bypass Britton for Holder.

Not a Holder fan, but at least he kept Britton out of the game.

Bullpen will be thin tomorrow, maybe no Loaisiga, Green or Ottavino (and obviously no Kahnle/Chapman) and unclear how many pitches Tanaka can go. Time for Boston College's Michael King?

I'm constantly amazed by Chad Green. He's the dopiest looking guy and yet he's kicked ass, stopped kicking ass for some reason, figured out how to fix himself and start kicking ass again, and then actually started kicking ass again. There's a ton of what the hell there but dude's got a spine of steel.

Chapman and Green are both under contract through 2022, I think ideally NY would like to let all of their current relievers get bigger deals elsewhere when their contracts expire, and slot in some of the many big young arms they have to replace them. Loaisiga, for instance, is under contract through 2024.

After this season, let's trade Chapman again for the next Gleyber. :p

Since beating the Yankees in the ‘18 Division Series, the Red Sox are 5-15 vs NY, 1-9 at Yankee Stadium. Boston hasn’t won a game in New York in 13 months.
