This is the sort of thing that slows the game down but is actually still awesome.

PeteAbe: Now Cora is talking to the umpires and Cash is presumably sitting back and laughing like DeNiro in "Cape Fear."

the mlb.com boxscore says Lowe is batting 3rd now, Meadows was out of the game when Roe came in and Kolarek stayed in, and Kolarek is batting 9th. is that too much for Angel's peabrain?

He's gonna pinch hit for Devers?
I think for Mookie which obviously is not happening.

But I still think he was claiming that he is entitled to some kind of notice so that he can do something or other.

Edit: What I mean is that he was suggesting he had some kind of right to do something or other for Mookie's at bat.

I think it's a batting order issue - the box shows Roe/Lowe in the DH slot...Kolarek should be there I think, and Lowe in the Choi spot.

A team is also barred from using a DH for the rest of the game if the pitcher moves from the mound to another defensive position, a player pinch-hits for any other player and then becomes the pitcher, or the current pitcher pinch-hits or pinch-runs for the DH.

Losing the DH is kind of irrelevant since they'll just pinch hit for the pitcher from now on, unless it goes to extras.

You lose it if the pitcher goes to field a position (so you can do the Lefty, Righty, Lefty thing)

Depending on where he is in the lineup, he may have to remove the LH pitcher from the game earlier than he wants. So he can't pitch to Benintendi, for example.

Now Cash is going to bat someone out of order and Cora will the spring the trap.

The other three umps are thinking, "Who am I gonna believe, Cora or Angel?"
