Smeltzer does not sound like a real name but he is through two scoreless name. Come on, Nestor.

Nice play by Gio! I didn't mention it yet, but this is the 'A' defensive infield tonight, with DJ at 1st.

Astoria
Got to the 7th inning in a hurry after a couple early innings that dragged. Have to think we have an obvious advantage here but who knows right now.

The ball was definitely on the ground (replay) on Gleyber's out. If it's not review-able and the HP umpire doesn't get a real look, why they call it out. Stupid.

Yeah, they need to add that to challengeable calls.

Heh, Cruz questioning the legality of Cortes' quick pitch, hilarious.

When David Cone always says 'he is making it up as he goes along', that is coming from a master of that.

NY is trying to not burn their pen out totally going into the Sox series after using everyone last night, but they have at least Kahnle and Britton behind him to try to get seven outs.

NY hasn't scored in the last three innings, a recipe for disaster in this series.

Judge is blasting one this inning if they pitch to him, just a question of who if anyone is on base before that.

It will not be Romine. I am excited to see Higashioka, Boone said the two would split time.

It will be DJ, though, now he'll get some strikes.

Aaron Judge hasn't pulled a HR to LF all season (literally not one), he tries to wait on the ball as long as possible.

This Arraez kid is a huge development for MIN, he is awesome and I guess came out of nowhere, just 22. Like a combo of Thairo and Urshela at 22...

He needs to stay in, just 16 pitches to 4 batters, 3 Ks, only wunderkind Arraez could even put it in play. Britton gave up a 457 foot shot yesterday, leave in Kahnle at least to start the 9th.

Smeltzer going for his 5th straight scoreless inning, that cannot be allowed. His name is Smeltzer!

Uh oh. An injury to either EE or Voit is when Clint would come back, he could DH then.

Although actually that is probably not true, NY could then keep Maybin and Tauchman both on the 25 man, so that's what would still probably happen.
