My wife and I aren't really sure if we want two or three kids eventually. I keep saying to myself that I want to wait as long as possible and then get very lucky and just have twins so we can be "done" with it. On the other hand, I've been friends with two-female twins for my whole life and they are an emotional wreck, too reliant on each other, and generally annoying. Those are the only thoughts that come to mind when I think of twins. When it comes to baseball, whether its this year or previous iterations, I couldn't care less about these bozos. Overrated team with some power and new stupid red jerseys. You know who rotates home jerseys? Teams who are desperate for merch sales....and the Red Sox. Screw em all

Just win.

To add to that, a bad month is okay. A month this bad after a horrid year in 2018 is very worrisome. Can his body hold up over a long season? Does he need more breaks?

You're not reading this wrong....he has a .390 OPS in July with 1 homerun. He is 6 for 56 with 20 strikeouts.

Boone is going with the old standby, patience.

I wonder about Gary’s mental toughness. How does he handle a slump? Most guys figure it out after 50 or 60 ABs. Gary seems to compound his problems.
It's probably gonna be easy to fall back on the cliches but can we blame mental toughness for taking you from best to worst catcher in the league?

Sanchez has a sore thumb but to his credit, he is playing through it. Physically, he looks thinner and is running the bases pretty hard. His arm is fine. Gary has developed a new skill — catcher’s interference. Three times recently. Isn’t one enough?

I think slumps are 50 percent mental. Whether toughness is the right word, probably not. Is he not taking instruction with him to the plate? Does he tense up, put too much pressure on himself?

Just settle down and ride the slump out. The Yanks need Sanchez hitting in the middle of this lineup when the season gets serious. This is playtime right now. A time to work through stuff.

The Twins have great plate discipline. Several outstanding young players. No holes in this lineup. German is struggling to put hitters away, and normally that is not a problem.

My DVR is still paused at 2-0, I'm going to take a shower and see if things are better when I get back. Extra bonus John and Suzyn!
