I’m fuckin dead. I was working out constantly refreshing this page waiting for the influx of water posts because it refreshes way faster than gamecast and they kept not coming. Losing that would have been absolutely crushing

no more Chavis at 2nd, please. and pushing Workman to two innings is dicey. those two decisions almost cost us dearly.

Avoided an epic nutpunch night, cos the A's just plated three in the 9th to take the lead. Let's go 'stros!

Edit: ooh, Josh Reddick with the single. 1st and 3rd, one out...

Edit #2: Tie game!

This is like 1986 all over again.
Not quite - but as that inning unraveled DOB noted them being "one strike away several times" and I would argue the use of that phrase/concept by a Sox broadcaster during a 9+th inning meltdown, regardless of the 4 world titles since, remains a fireable offense.

Into the bottom of 10th in Houston tied 3-3.

If the 'stros pull this out, we're one game out of the playoffs (1 back of Oakland, 3 back of the Tribe) with 60 to play. Call me wild-eyed optimist, but I think that's within the realm of mathematical possibility.

Took a 3 hour flight to Miami that ended up being like 6-7 including a diversion. Dead tired and get to see the bullpen almost cough up... again.

Guess it's better than losing

Bleh, A's score two in the 11th. Ah well, 0.5 up on TB, 2.0 behind OAK and 3.0 behind CLE with two WC spots in play and 60 games left. I'll keep watching.

I just went to the DVR and got caught up. Wow!

Deep grounder at first, tossed to Walden for the out. Not terribly close.
Vaz probably hasn't had to make too many of those tosses in his life. That could have been disastrous.

I used to like Jinx O'Brien when he was on the radio, but man, I despise him now. Pena needs to take it down a few notches, but O'Brien has turned into fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears.

Nice to see the Twinkies come back and tie it up again in the 9th.
