DJ is not due up this inning. Time to take out the trash. And look for my dictionary to see what the hell Coup is bitching about.

Rocco brings in a lefty who had a 5.02 ERA in the minors. Torres greets him with a double. Overslides the bag and absorbs a shot to the groin.

Only the third time the Twins have had 5+ home runs in a game against the Yankees with 5 on May 2nd, 1992 and 6 the 26th of June, 2016.

Minnesota won both games, and the franchise has actually never lost a game with 5 or greater big flies, 46-0, including 2-0 in the Senators days.

Gio doubles with two outs in 8th. Tauchman up again. Rocco calling for new pitcher. Thorpe did a nice job after Judge got him out of trouble with a DP pill.

Sanchez supposedly is playing through a thumb injury. Boone says no, swings are good, just hitting in tough luck. Gary lined out once today.
The triple play set the tone tonight. Frustrating loss.

I thought I was up next, but thankfully it is @crow216, now I feel much better, our Domingo German.

The back of the bullpen does not want to leave, even Holder threw a nice inning. Cashman traded Warren and Shreve from the back of the pen last deadline, Cessa/Holder still seem the most likely to go. All reports still have Cashman wanting to add yet another reliever, couple that with the existing Chapman/Britton/Ottavino/Kahnle/Green plus Betances hopefully in a couple of weeks, Hale looking too good to move, Cortes Jr and Tarpley and Harvey and Feyereisen in AAA, Loaisiga and Heller on the way back, Cashman needs to thin out the herd some (and he needs international spending money).

EE batting 3rd with his .184 Yankee batting avg and ice-cold Sanchez (.111 in July) batting cleanup was one of the main reasons for poor RISP results. Of course that was on top of the triple-play, 2 DP and 1 catcher interference which directly led to a Twins run.

EE went 2 for 4 with a walk and had 4 HRs in his previous 7 games, he is fine just where he is. Sanchez could/should be dropped down at this point, but a lot of things went wrong in this one as you said. Onto tonight...
