Fuck the Indians. This is the second time this year I've been watching the 9th with the Rays and they blow it.

My memory might be hazy.

Story hasn't been great and it's a 2 month rental.
This is true, but his BABIP is down .060 from his (persistently high) career numbers, and he's a great defender.

If that's the price for Story, then the price for Rizzo (half Story's WAR in 2021; half Story's WAR from 2018-2020) should be, like, Michael Chavis and Brandon Howlett.

Keith Law ranked Volpe 42nd in his updated, midseason top 50 today. Him + 2 more seems pretty good for 2 months of Story.

Really missing Arroyo in a game like this. Never start Chavis and Dalbec, and somehow hides them in the 8-9 hole.

Ahh, I was not aware of that. I was looking at his impressive numbers (age appropriate), and the fact that he hadn't made a top-100 and was listed as the Yankees' 10th prospect. I was concluding that he might not be much of a defender.

But Law's update makes it sound like his reputation has taken a big jump.

A Yankees 42nd ranked prospect is like 100 spots higher than if the guy was in any other organization.
