Estevez just spotted 100 on the corner to get Gardner looking, rough day for Brett so far.

We'll see if Voit stays in, probably not. They can move DJ to first and bring in Urshela, or they could move EE to 1st and give up the DH.

Come on, Tanaka, one more pitch. That 94 on the corner was it, but the ump didn't give it to you.

Actually. I'd be a terrible manager. Every time I think I know better, I remember this scene.

They had Tanaka at 96 on that last pitch!! That is some frustration right there, nice job.

I know I say this once or twice a season, but I love that they recognize old service members, especially those few remaining from WW2.

Edit: And I realize that a lot of people don't like it and I'm fine with that too.

All these Rockies stats they keep showing are pretty much irrelevant, they are a totally different team at home and on the road.

Team OPS:

Home: Colorado .894, best in baseball (NY .800)
Road: Colorado .654, worst in baseball (NY .812)

Good hustle by Tauchman yet again, let the kid play again tomorrow against his old team.

Although I meant to mention last night, that 'kid' will actually be 29 in December, a year and a half older than Judge.

Edit: Talking about Tauchman, if it's not clear.

CC: “Cut the shit!” “Fuck!”

This is stupid though, why are they going that far in, repeatedly? Nothing dirty from either side this series to justify that.

Wow, you will not see three defensive plays in a row that good very often. DJ!

9 1/3 scoreless in the last three days (4 games) from Hale, Cessa and Tarpley. No one wants to get bumped or dumped at the trade deadline...

What an amazing experience this is for the fringe players. Nobody wants to lose out on the ride. Which is why Frazier and Wade were so frustrated when sent down. But it’s a long, difficult journey. Cashman is still tinkering with the final product.

NY has won 17 of their last 20 at home, 14-0-1 in home series since mid-April (they split a 2 game set against the Mets).

First time in Yankees interleague history they’ve scored 11 or greater with no home runs. They were on the flip side of this against the Phillies on 6/8/99, an 11-5 loss.

So, they’re beating up on everyone save the Central. 10 more games against that division, so we’ll see.

Not sure that's a helpful way to break it up, they lost series to DET and CHW in the first two weeks of the season, when they also lost a series to BAL. They do play 3 in MIN starting Monday, who is supposed to have Buxton back by then. Why is that relevant? Coming into today, MIN was 7-14 without him, and a very impressive 52-23 with him. But they did have Buxton for the series they lost 2-1 in NY in early May, so we'll see.
