Thought Judge was going to belt one there and in fact he did. And now all 3 games with AL East contenders are 8-2 currently.

Kahnle sits down, Tarpley will come in. A couple innings from him would put the bullpen in good shape going into tomorrow.

I didn't expect it, but Tauchman is just about the ideal 4th outfielder right now. Superb outfielder that can play all three spots, fast enough to pinch run and steal bases, and damn good baserunning instincts. Abbey identified it a while ago, but I was never really a believer until tonight.

Another good job by Cashman.

He has some real power too, that's got to be hard to unlock when you only play a few times a week but it is there and we've seen it on occasion.

I believe it. When that happens he might be too good to be the ideal 4th outfielder. :)

That will be a problem I enjoy seeing the Yankees work through.

Tarpley Ks Blackmon and Arenado with an infield single in between.

This is a team that's getting very comfortable with their abilities, not waiting for anyone to 'return' and now with virtually nobody who's glaringly deficient at the plate or on the field...and hopefully will scare the shit out of the rest of the league

That O'Neill and Baseball Ref story is the best bit of booth color I've heard maybe ever. Hilarious. I don't know how I've never heard that before.

Tarpley gets Murphy swinging too, that is an impressive set of Ks in an inning.

The depth Cashman has built is insane. On one hand, I believe all the info going around that NY wants to trade for more pitching but on the other hand, I wonder how they will fit everyone onto the roster. As always, glad I do not have Cashman's job.

The play they've shown a lot, when he was on the Reds, and misplayed a single with the game on the line. Thinking the game was over, he kicked the ball in frustration but somehow it went right to the first baseman and they held the runner at third. As he just said, if the ball doesn't go right to the 1B, he probably gets sent back to AAA that night and might not be in the booth right now.

But the new part was that on O'Neill's BR page, it says "Bats: Left Throws: Left Kicks: Left" with a link to that play, pretty damn funny.

They might want Chapman to pitch the 9th no matter what, his last game was the d'Babe game on Monday.

Great job by Tarpley, that was his first game for NY since getting battered in London (tarp and chips?).

Come on! You have been the Yankee GM on SOSH for 10 years.

Speaking of which, who started the Yankee presence on SOSH and when?

We could all be gone if the Yankees keep playing this way.

It's amazing that Judge has yet to pull a HR this season, all 11 to RF, CF, or just left of CF.

Tarpley stays in for his third inning, starting at 33 pitches. Dunno about this.

Bud Black tossed for yelling from the dugout quite a bit on a check swing strike 3 that was clearly correct on replay.

By far Tarpley's longest outing in the bigs, he had 34 pitches once last year and gets Blackmon swinging to end the game on pitch #49. Impressive!

I'm not really sure of the chronology there either, but I prefer not to dwell on it. :)
