Like I said in the other thread, it looks like about an hour or so of rain is about to hit. NY has yet to announce pitching plans for this game or the 26th man, presumably Boone will do both now.

Joe Pos should write a book about Chad Green, because that was some Houdini shit right there. :)

26 pitches, no outs. Next 5 pitches, three outs.

Gonna need a big game from Cortes Jr. to win this one, not getting another inning from Green after that.

Come on fellas. Get a couple runs and win this series.

Also, that Gardner freakout earlier was one of the weirder ones I've ever seen.

You ever kind of think you know what someone is trying to say but not really sure that you do? That's how I feel about "savages in the box"

I think that is how Boone feels about that too, the press conference in between games was pretty brief but he said something like 'sometimes you just say things in the heat of the moment'. :)

I just caught up, no one talking about this rally? Not sure which is less likely, Romine with a leadoff double or Morton balking in the go-ahead run.

Morton was just over 50 pitches through 5, closing in on 40 pitches in just this inning.

Yep. Offense is out of its slumber. We're not relying on homeruns or anything, just having good at bats and getting timely hits against good pitchers.

Chirinos and Morton were #6 and #1 in ERA in the AL coming in, NY scored 8 in 10.2 combined off them and that's if Kittredge gets out of this with no more damage.

The savages thing is basically guaranteed to be the nickname that they embrace and ride to a title.

I live 30 miles from the stadium and it’s been raining all day. Why couldn’t this whole thing have been canceled??

I'm willing to bet Austin Romine has never had two hits in the same inning in the bigs.

Batting around with DJ, Hicks, Sanchez and Stanton not in the lineup.

OK, that works.

Three more innings to get through, Ottavino and Chapman available. Tarpley is out there too, I guess stick with Cessa and have Ottavino warming?

Thanks again to Cash for sitting Lowe the first two games of this series, why would you want to play the red-hot AL player of the week?

Buck Showalter, ace studio analyst, says not to forget about Chad Green's amazing job getting out of the first inning unscored upon.

Brett Gardner is moving up the team MVP chart, he never rests and he keeps contributing.
