Battle of the All Stars in the Bronx this evening. Tough matchup for Duran to get his first cup of coffee against, remains to be seen if he is in the lineup. If he is, I hope it gets Dalbec off the field and not Arroyo.

50/50 chance this one gets interrupted by a thunderstorm at some point.

When you wrote "today" I thought maybe you meant it was an afternoon game. But no, at 7:15 on Faux. I do hope some other game rates the Faux A-team. If I never hear Joe Buck again, it will be too soon. (Except I will put up with him to hear the Sox win the WS. But that's it.)
Geaux, Sox!!!

I wish Fox would give a break and skip one of these Sox -MFY weekend matchups. Do they have to cover them everytime?

For those of us stuck in the NY market, Fox coverage is a blessing compared to YES.

Most Sox and Yankees games are always weekends. I think FOX and ESPN has a lot to do with that.

Kike Hernandez SS
Alex Verdugo LF
JD Martinez DH
Rafael Devers 3B
Hunter Renfroe RF
Jarren Duran CF
Christian Vazquez C
Christian Arroyo 2B
Bobby Dalbec 1B
Eck and Remy thought X looked like he had a hand injury last night. Not great that he's sitting out today.

MFY would LOVE to bang this game proactively and get another 7-inning DH against the Sox later in the year. They are definitely not above doing that.

^ I agree. There has to be a window to get at least 5 innings in, I would think. Maybe the forecast will be too unstable, but smells like Yanks trying to get away with one.

^ Good to hear. Also this from Pete Abe: "Bogaerts has a sore left wrist. They were going to give him a day off at some point soon anyway. Same with Devers and JDM after their travel to Denver. " Once again, managing days off in these long stretches is a huge juggling act.

Blue Jays PPD to rain and a DH tomorrow for them. There are dark clouds outside my apartment in Maryland. 'Tis the season

Eh they could squeeze in two tomorrow if needed. May not start until 3:00 but they could do it.
MFY chances of winning one of the two remaining games jumps significantly if the Sox have to play them twice in one day. It's hard to sweep a DH.

Torrential rain in Worcester where they are playing against the MFY AAA team (On NESN). Played only 23 minutes before the rain came.

Their chances of winning one game hinge on Spin Doctor throwing a gem. That can happen tonight or tomorrow.

I've never understood why that's true, but that does seem to be the case.

I'm no meteorologist, but the radar looks like there might be some brief downpours, but nothing sustainable.

We had a pool party scheduled for 4pm today. We moved it to noon so we could get it in during the 6 hours it was really amazing in the NY/NJ area. If only MLB had the flexibility and foresight. TV contracts really should be written in a way such that they adjust for the game and not the other way around.

where I was last at
The skies are rumbling and turning that greenish color in NJ, about 25 miles west of the Urinal, it could be night of long interruptions and a delayed start.

Radar really doesn't look good. They could start but it would be stopped by 8pm.

I'm half expecting a PPD, split DH 1/7pm tomorrow announcement by 8pm. Feel bad for Duran
