The greatest catching lead-off hitter in history + Stanek/Beeks face CC and pals tonight at 7:05 in the Bronx.

Lineups. Gotta keep the Babe’s bat at leadoff even if you want to keep his legs fresh.

Rays called up Beeks to be the bulk guy after Stanek & sent down Heredia, so short bench tonight.

D'Arnaud's 8 month old evidently said 'Dada' for the first time also yesterday, quite the day for him.

Voit is starting to piss me off. He keeps striking out on an inside pitch where he seems like he thinks it's about to hit him but it's not even particularly close. What is he doing, trying to frame the pitch? I don't get it. I hope nothing is wrong with his eyes.

Looks like he is guessing wrong a lot lately, getting beat inside. That’s the book on Luke until he adjusts.

Meanwhile, Sanchez is hitting .100 for his last 56 abs. But his defense is good!

The pitch to end the game last night was right across the plate on the outer third, still pissed about Voit watching that.

This might be the last time CC ever faces TB.

The Rays really should have been more aggressive in trying to get EE. With $5m of sunk cost on the table to be recovered, it was the perfect situation to overpay a little on the package.

They evidently offered Solak, who IMO is better than the young pitcher NY gave up, maybe it was about money (although NY didn't take that much) or maybe Cashman has DiPoto hypnotized.

O’Neill apologizing for the hitters. Surprised Cone is going along with this nonsense. Singleton is the voice of reason.

I’d be pitching around Judge to get to Voit. He just misses the foul pole on 3-2 pitch. So they pitch to him again and Judge goes deep. 4-3.
