Brasier's fastball looks good, but the slider has no depth at all.

Now I'm going to go poke around brooksbaseball to see if my observations are borne out.
Not true at all! The movement and velocity on all his pitches are basically identical between 2018/19.

All year we cream balls right at guys who are perfectly placed while our defense in the infield gets beaten by rollers all the time. Our positioning doesn’t seem as good.

It's amazing how the Blue Jays have come roaring back against the Sox seemingly every game they play.

If pitchers don't hit their spots, the shifted fielders will be out of position a lot.

We just give away outs, at bats, bases. We take our cuts, hit them in play, and hope they don’t go at guys. Meanwhile, our opponents grind away, foul off tough pitches, take opportunities, put pressure on pitchers.

This team seems like careless hackers with zero situational skills and so much less than the sum of their parts. They also just go into cruise control at times with very little seeming intensity.
