Yanks have won eight of Happ’s last 10 starts. He gave up 8 runs in 4 innings to Houston and also lost to Chicago. Mostly, he gives his team “a chance to win.” An 80 percent chance lately.

I think Urshela is pretty clearly the 10th guy at this point, he can start 3-4 games a week plus be a late inning defensive substitute.

Also news this AM has Cameron Maybin pretty much healthy again and ready to start rehab games next week.

Bloop single over Torres’ head plates two runs. Second blooper of the inning. Tough sky today, as Coup mentioned earlier.

Jays want to run on Ottavino. O is like Betances in that respect. Might be a problem in October.
Yeah, I talked about this when NY was thinking about signing him. Betances fixed this last season, not sure if Ottavino can.

TB loses the first game of a doubleheader to BAL, 2-1. That helps.

This is the streak in jeopardy if NY doesn't score this inning:

MLB Longest Streaks without Being Shut Out since 1900

308 Yankees 1931-33
212 Brewers 1978-79
208 Reds 2000-01
174 Phillies 1992-93
171 Yankees 2018-19

OK, last chance. Didn't look like Giles was warming for some reason, so maybe Hudson tries to close it.
