Quick thread start but how about we beat a team that has red in its name this time? Cole kicks this one off and we get Castillo on Thursday.

Before the ASG, I'm looking for Hicks to continue his hot stretch and Judge to pick it back up.

I get it. I'm just saying that he's probably a bit more banged up than they're letting on.

Boone says he's fine, just using the back to back days, and that he'll play the next five games before the break.

More work to do. I thought Peralta was going get it done. Almost had it. Didn't like that 0-2 pitch though.

I don’t like the pitch selection there either. You need to go above or below the zone, that pitch is basically just praying to graze the corner and get a K looking

Judge with the live example of better pitch selection. Just funny that Peralta made the same obvious mistake to blow a game twice in 3 games

Slept through that whole game until the bottom of the 9th, ah well. Holmes is human, I guess.

I mean, yeah, it was not a good outcome, but squaring up a baseball is hard. Just bad luck that time.

I can't be too critical of Gleyber when he's been producing like he has. Different story if it was Gallo up there.

Sure. This is obviously not on Torres. It wasn’t a desperate 2 strike situation so I’d prefer he had a better approach, but he was most of the offense.

Blowing a 3 run lead at home to a bad team in the 9th with your best and 3rd best relievers ready is ugly. Its baseball so it happens, but it probably means you aren’t superlatively great.

Just a tad frustrated, though obviously Gleyber has been hitting very well this season. Gallo is endlessly frustrating. I absolutely love rooting for him in theory - seems like a great dude, has fun and his teammates seem to like him. But he can't hit his way out of a wet paper bag and I don't see what the solution is going forward other than a trade.

The MLB app said there was an injury delay when Sears came in, so wasn't sure if that was just the bot saying that or if something happened.

I didn't see how this inning started, but the last inning had the trainer coming out with Boone and asking if he was hurt. His velocity was around 93 and his breaking stuff was just floating up there. He looked better to end the inning but not a good sign that he's out. Don't think he's right.

I was just implying Severino was having a bad start but I hadn't actually seen that he might be hurt.
Yeah, he looked totally wrong from the start. Hopefully just a dead arm, but it's scary with his history.

Crazy inning, between the India error, the Rizzo baserunning, and IKF coming through.

OK they just said he took himself out to start the third, and his fastball velocity was down by 2 MPH. Bad times.

Yet another huge NY inning in the last week or so that started with a Gallo walk.

I didn't start watching yet, but supposedly his last two pitches were back to 96 before he pulled himself, maybe he had trouble getting loose with the extra days rest/unusual schedule (6 days rest). Obviously that is a wishful thinking spin, we'll see.

The good vibes are thoroughly gone from this team right now. Just have to stop this from becoming a freefall.

NY really needs to pull this one out now, with Castillo going tomorrow.
