Don't look now, but Judge is cooling off. As long as he gets it going again and they keep winning, fine by me. Maybe make the contract a teeny bit less painful.

Heh, was just thinking similar thoughts and checked where his OPS ranked in MLB currently (5th, just ahead of Devers).

NY with the rare 2 game jump in the standings over TOR on a day where they don’t play each other, NY sweeps CLE and TB sweeps TOR.

NY could have easily chosen Estevan Florial as the 27th man today, also on the 40 man already and equally hot as Andujar in AAA.

I think if it was a longer term promotion, Florial would get the nod (similar current offensive production, decidedly better defender, much more long-term upside), but they preferred him not missing maybe 3 games of AAA ABs flying back and forth to CLE, so Andujar got the nod and started both games (1-8) while Florial blasted two HRs in AAA tonight, check out the second one:

NY should not trade Florial this month unless they are getting back a OF controlled through at least 2023, like Happ. This last month or so is why they have held onto him this long, he is still just 24.

That one I knew about. I think he hadn't made an out on a foul pop-up until last season or something. Not quite sure why we're talking about this though, that's a very impressive stat while the Gallo one is pathetic. He needs to completely re-examine his approach at the plate but he's too stubborn.

I'm hoping Gallo develops a different approach with a new team and I hope he finds that new home soon.

If Florial can do the job, great. Assuming he isn't a butcher in that big LF, it would be be hard for him to be worse.

Florial can play CF, Hicks can play LF. I think they’ll probably trade for Ian Happ though, makes too much sense to not happen.

Yeah, they were off on Memorial Day too. The schedules are really awful this year, NY and BOS are about to play 16 times in about a 70 game span.
