Oof

we’re brothers in balls, not in arms apparently.
in a way, the fact that our players and coaches at this time in our country when people are banding together for a higher cause can feel this special spirit of America, we’re proud to be a symbol of that in a small way. Spirituality, faith and democracy are the cornerstones of our country. We are all brothers in balls.

Obviously we are speculating here, but I’ll say KP’s demeanor on the bench was somewhat encouraging. I think it was a tweak, but we’ll see. Lucky it wasn’t made worse, Joe was way too slow to react, both for KP’s health and the PERFORM of team. It was 5 on 4. The crowd was in WTF mode.

Josh Hart saying it'll be tough in Dallas and saying how good Dallas is at home.. they're now talking about the fact that the C's are better on the road.

Wow. What an incredible experience. Fans have absolutely broken Kyrie Irving. Multiple times he put his hands up encouraging the chants and then when it came to clutch time he laid another egg. He ain’t that guy.

Encouraging sign is that he stayed on the bench. Discouraging sign is the opening betting line for Dallas in Game 3. Prediction: we see a lot of "questionable" right up until a final decision is made at game time.

It is true that role players tend to shoot better at home so that is something to watch for but the Celtics have done a great job through 96 minutes not giving them a lot of room to breathe. PJ is making some plays but almost entirely in the paint.

Also, to piggy back on Maxwell, I don’t think KP was hurt earlier, but he might have had normal post-injury dead leg. There was a very slight hitch, though it didn’t seem to impact his effort or play. The quad happened latter when he jumped 15 feet high.

Boston has scored 30 or more points only in the one quarter to open the Finals.

They love to go on the rip road and show out. I expect the offense to come alive in Dallas

where I was last at
Remember when he tried to ruin the moment when JT made that last second layup to win game one against the Nets?
We always hear that announcers don't root, but Breen grew up a Knicks fan in the 70s and his hatred of the Celts is pure and natural. And as much as he tries to neuter it, he can't. And I like Breen,I think he calls a good game, but like the scorpion, it's in his nature .

I think Vegas expects a lot of money on Dallas regardless. I don’t view a pick em in this situation as a sign of much other than perhaps some uncertainty.

I was at a Celtics game early one day and I was walking around near the court. With a friendly voice I yelled “hey Mike Breen” and when he looked right at me from about 15 feet away I yelled “you really suck.”

Late excitement aside, thought that was a really mature victory. They weren’t falling for the most part but they kept working for good shots, never once let the misses affect their D, and kept working their way into the paint.

And let’s face it, it was only close at the end after phantom calls handed Dallas 5 points at the line.
Seriously, grind ‘em up, chew ’em up, spit ’em out, The Celts play 48 as Diaspora requested..

Give Luka credit. He says he needs to improve on everything other than defense...which doesn't exist.

JB with 7 assists, a career playoff high. JT with 12, second most after 13 in the opener in the 2022 Finals

Their 19 assist were the most combined since the 18 in that 2022 Finals opener
