19 runs on 35 hits in the series. For those wondering, the Guardians are next to last in the AL in runs scored.
im with you there -I think it’s timeAnd at what point does this fanbase stop making excuses for Chaim Bloom and just accept that he’s not good at his job?
Shocking isn’t it?The whole plan of signing pitchers who are injured or are reclamation projects on one year contracts has been a crappy plan.
YepWell done Bloom! Too bad we didn't have a chance to resign Wacha or Eovaldi. Oh crap, we did didn't we.
I think after panda and Crawford, nothing registers that kind of response anymore - senses dulledI just don't understand how JHW doesn't watch a performance like tonight (or all season for that matter) and think "Holy shit! That's $10 million of my money that's being set on fire out there!"
The group of Chaim apologists is shrinking by the day.And at what point does this fanbase stop making excuses for Chaim Bloom and just accept that he’s not good at his job?
I think you’re giving him too much credit that he’s actually watchingI just don't understand how JHW doesn't watch a performance like tonight (or all season for that matter) and think "Holy shit! That's $10 million of my money that's being set on fire out there!"
Stockholm syndrome kind of shitI think after panda and Crawford, nothing registers that kind of response anymore - senses dulled
Perfect! My last dvd player shit the bed in 2014.That will go on the 2023 Red Sox dvd!
Well done!!!Unfortunately more River Kwai than Madison County
It‘s not a crappy plan if you have the coaching and track record of success doing it.The whole plan of signing pitchers who are injured or are reclamation projects on one year contracts has been a crappy plan.
i think we have bingoI think you’re giving him too much credit that he’s actually watching
We did. He turned it down thinking he could get more money.Well done Bloom! Too bad we didn't have a chance to resign Wacha or Eovaldi. Oh crap, we did didn't we.
https://www.si.com/mlb/red-sox/prospects/red-sox-reportedly-pulled-offer-for-nathan-eovaldi-after-spending-elsewhere-scott7
“"It sounds like they made him what was a good offer earlier in the offseason and (his agents) weren't ready to take it, they were like: 'this market could blow up.' The market never did blow up.
"It sounds like from some of what I've heard, Eovaldi's camp came back to the Red Sox and said 'okay, can we still get that offer back?' (The Red Sox) said no. That was after they got Masataka Yoshida, Kenley Jansen and Chris Martin."”
I can get behind that.Well, I started this game thread but I still say this shit show tonight is the Sox karma for calling up Dermody.
Why couldn’t it cut out when Kluber was getting klubbed?Ugh, NESN cut out at the worst possible time!
I don’t see them winning a series pre-AthleticsPerfect storm brewing against Bloom right now. The Sox are about what we thought they would be, but made the mistake of having a nice stretch early on where it felt like maybe they were capable of playing entertaining baseball. If they had started out from the beginning playing like a collection of spare parts and misfit toys, we all would have just said, yeah what we thought. That plus guys who left playing great and I think his seat may start to get a bit warm. If the Yankees hammer us, the noise is going to get loud.
It feels early in the season for things to be so dire, but definitely agree. The stars feel like they’re lining up for the Sox to get absolutely rocked. If the Yankees hammer us, the noise is going to get loud.
And the team meeting.at least the team really responded to the verdugo benching
Finally we agree on something!im with you there -I think it’s time
One can only hopeThe group of Chaim apologists is shrinking by the day.
Even then…I don’t see them winning a series pre-Athletics
They're going to sweep the Yankees, and the board will be filled with posts urging them to trade prospects for the missing piece to a championshipI do enjoy commiserating with y’all at least! Get excited for that series in NYC
I mean that would be a lot more entertaining at least. They're going to sweep the Yankees, and the board will be filled with posts urging them to trade prospects for the missing piece to a championship
Yes, but not for the reason you might thinkI mean that would be a lot more entertaining at least.
peteabe: Dermody was DFA'd after the game, which makes room for Duvall on both the 40-man and 26-man rosters. Cora indicated there could be two other moves.Minority opinion here, but if the choice tomorrow is to DFA one of Kluber or Dermondy, I’m ok having Corey around another week or so.
So long as he doesn’t actually have to pitch in a game.
Ugh, no, it's gotta be Murphy back, not Ort.Kluber to the IL, Ort called up is my guess.
Ah that could be it too. But the only way to get Ort, Sherriff, or Murphy back is via someone going on the IL, right?Ugh, no, it's gotta be Murphy back, not Ort.
Mystery injury for Hernandez?Ah that could be it too. But the only way to get Ort, Sherriff, or Murphy back is via someone going on the IL, right?
It was answer for Kluber going to the IL so any of the three.Ah that could be it too. But the only way to get Ort, Sherriff, or Murphy back is via someone going on the IL, right?
Team meetings are like cortisone shots. You can only have so many in one season. And the team meeting.
