Nice comeback last night. Got our ace a much deserved win once we got their ace out of the game. A loss last night would have been exactly the kind of dick punch that happens all the time in one of their lost seasons, so to hang on helped grow and spread the good mojo. Which I suppose they'll need tonight as—at least according to MLB—the Sox are going up against another good arm for Cleveland with a bullpen game.

I’d kill to see Crawford put in a classic “quality start”. And probably would eat the corpse for 7 shutout innings.

Obviously a little doctor who chitchat got the Sox much needed mojo and a win. So, with that in mind, most underrated classic serial? I go with The Space Museum. Widely considered a dog, but possibly Vicki's finest turn as an enthusiast revolutionary. Quite a few funny bits, too.

Go Sox!

Great start by Paxton. Not much to critique.
As the kids like to say, he was "on fleek."
His 7 strong innings helped the Sox squeak
by with a win. The first one of the week!
Down 2 to 1 in the 8th, it looked bleak.
Our flat at-bats made our offense look meek.
Then suddenly, in a surprising tweak,
the Sox scored 4 runs with a scrappy, sleek,
and savvy station-to-station technique.
It got close late. We were clenching each cheek.
Our pitcher from Coldplay had no mystique,
but just as our fears were reaching their peak,
Kenley closed it out. (The dude's still a freak.)
These tight games are fun but they kind of wreak
havoc on my aging brain and physique.
I'm 57 - almost an antique -
still, I love Good Times. (Just like the band, Chic.)
I'll tune in tonight and write tongue-in-cheek.
Without these poems, I'd have no way to sneak
in jokes that show I'm a pop culture geek.
Life would be boring. I'd be up Schitt's Creek
(or maybe the one with James Van Der Beek.)
Time to stop rambling. Tonight the Sox seek
to stay Hot in Cleveland. Extend the streak!

I'll go with Psychic Circus.
I know, I know. Latter OG Doctor Who is pretty bad; horrible writing, embarrassing costuming and production design, but I maintain this is a decent storyline that just needed some tweaks by a sober adult not intentionally trying to tank the show. Just like I maintain that Sylvester McCoy really got screwed with when he came to the show. He could've been great if he had at least Pertwee or Davison level stuff to work with.

Dude, great as usual, but 57 is the new 47, so you're barely out of your 30s!

It may not be underrated, but Sarah Jane Smith telling the rogue knight to "take off that costume and go back to your butcher shop" in her first foray to another time is among my favorite bits.

Thanks. I feel like a very old 57 these days.
My memory has been awful this week. I keep jotting lines for poems while teaching school then forgetting to actually include them in the poem. I just went back and added a “young and hip” line to show I’m still in touch with the kids.

How about The O. K. Corral? Hearing English actors from the sixties trying on western accents (Perhaps we may'nt want to ride with you) is great stuff.

Also, on the Doctor Who tip: reading Spencer's Fairie Queene is the most like watching classic Doctor Who that poetry has to offer.

You're 80? Bless your heart for having the fan passion. I knew you were older but I was thinking 60's. You make me feel like a kid at 66 (LOL) . I wonder what the demographics of SOSH is?

And if you want underrated Doctor Whos, I gotta go with The Invasion of Time. The endless corridor scenes are hilarious.

If this series was at Fenway the game tonight would have probably been postponed because of the air quality.
It's weird but true that now Boston and environs is OK for air quality. I have some concerns for Cleveland, however.
This is the Massachusetts info: http://eeaonline.eea.state.ma.us/dep/massair/web/#/pollution/map/max
Yep, Cleveland is not good: https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/consider-staying-indoors-ohio-epa-issues-statewide-air-quality-advisory-related-to-canadian-wildfires/ar-AA1cfJMm
