And Montreal scores on a power play. Winnipeg looks totally defeated

Really feels like they need to cash in the remainder of the wraparound PP to have shot. They won’t get many more calls like that, and good luck getting through the muck of the Islanders D in 5-on-5 now that they can play conservatively.

Agreed. New York is going to pack it in tight this period and there’s no way the refs give Boston another PP.

Score early or lose.

In the simulacrum
NBC sucks cadaver balls.

Their little video montage of the Bruins penalties skips the flood of uncalled analogous garbage the other way.

The Bruins have to beat the refs, the Islanders and the empty suits at NBC too.

Convert opportunities. We have blown so many chances the past 4 2/3rd games. The refs blow but we’re the ones not cashing in on open nets and bounces in front.

Cash in early, and take the game to the Islanders... if you are going to get called for penalties... earn them on hard hits and strong play... not tentative little whacks...

par for the course. Pay attention to how often an Islander is “taken down” while a Bruin “goes down”. feed the narrative. They must really want to push the Colisseum closing angle or something

Finally caught up. Bruins really needed to cash in when they carried play for the first 1.5 periods. They were flying but had some awful breakdowns in the d zone.

the fact that penalties are 3-1 against is a fucking joke.

This may be my first ever game thread post but when I realized they called the third penalty on Wagner going into that commercial break I broke the remote. I’m 39 and I broke a fucking remote because of a game. I then ate an edible and decided not to watch anymore.
But I’ll be reading here. It’s like moral support, which I don’t take for granted.

If any of the not-1st line skaters would like to do anything 5-on-5, now’s a good time. You’re not beating a good team with one functioning line.

Cassidy better have a really good explanation for sticking with this version of Tuuka Rask as long as he did. No lateral movement, deep in the net on his knees prematurely. Way to timid for my taste.

The refs will call another softy on the Isles to make the final tally not look do egregious. Then the league can shrug their shoulders

Maybe the sub 2 goals against and the .935 saver percentage heading into tonight?

Health, Bruce would no more.
