74% xGF all situations. PK has to be better no matter what fuckery the refs are up to. And as I said, the game-winning goal was that brutal effort in their own zone to start the 3rd.
They called obvious STL penalties in G1 and Berube was a big fucking baby and it flipped the whole series.
I think Cassidy has some misplaced ethos of keeping it together about the officials, which, while admirable and probably ideal most of the time, needs to have its limits.
I’m not sure Rask is healthy or close to it. He did not move well coming back into the net a few times after playing the puck in the 2nd.
Watch how he moved tonight. He’s injured. It’s getting worse. Play the other guy.
We’re losing because we’re not building leads when we’ve been dominating play in the 1st every game.
Their inability to build on a lead or score after running play for an extended period has been the worst. Has really only come about in the Game 2 comeback and tonight in the third.

I like it because it will prompt the media to throw it back to the Islanders and the NY media and it will continue to grow as a thing.
Unfortunately while this tactic works for other teams, the league will instead respond by continuing to pull the same bullshit, this time out of a sense of not wanting to appear that they are bowing to outside pressure.
Good on Bruce. Again it begs the question of why it took tonight of all games instead of the Blues headshotting guys left and right without penalty, Acciari getting his skates kicked out from under him before a GWG, Stamkos free-arm tackling McAvoy from behind directly leading to a goal, breakaways against the Lightning getting disrupted by flagrant slashes/hooks/holds, etc. But I digress.
Yea... the best we can hope for is that the refs decide to put the whistles away. Putting the refs on blast only really works if you get out in front of it.
And Tampa Bay has never let the league office forget that Colin Campbell’s kid was on the team. I’m convinced that’s part of this with the refs.
