74% xGF all situations. PK has to be better no matter what fuckery the refs are up to. And as I said, the game-winning goal was that brutal effort in their own zone to start the 3rd.

I think Cassidy has some misplaced ethos of keeping it together about the officials, which, while admirable and probably ideal most of the time, needs to have its limits.

Going into tonight he he had a .950 goals against and let up three goals in Games 3 and 4 combined. Tough game tonight and I hope he isn’t hurt but they need Miller and Carlo back because neither Rask or Swayman can do much with the D in front of them. Especially short handed.
Watch how he moved tonight. He’s injured. It’s getting worse. Play the other guy.

They’ve been missing chances all series. It’s immensely frustrating.
Their inability to build on a lead or score after running play for an extended period has been the worst. Has really only come about in the Game 2 comeback and tonight in the third.

Actually fuck that, this is an ownership issue. Charlie Jacobs should be on the phone with Bettman. Enough is enough. It’s every fucking year.
Bettman's in the bulding tonight, he could just head over and have a chat with ... lol. yeah. Like Charlie gives a fuck.

Cassidy's to-do list:
1. Earn himself a nice fine from the league office.
2. Start Swayman on Wednesday.
3. Figure out what to do with DeBrusk. If Lazar is out this should be an easy decision but Kuhlman was just okay tonight. Jake has the ability to win games if he's on. Sometimes coaching is figuring out how to get troublesome players like Jake going.

You can cross number 1 off. He went off.

The New York Saints, I like that. I will be referring to them only by that name for the rest of the season.

What else can he do to get him going? Tough love hasn’t been working. Elevating him hasn’t been working. Doing nothing hasn’t been working. He just seems broken.

“Have some respect for Patrice Bergeron.”

He’s fucking killing the Islanders for working the league and refs.

Precisely. I hate the officiating too, but this is why they’re losing.

Not sure where the narrative comes from that Cassidy is soft on the zebras, but he's fucking Bobby Knight compared to Brad Stevens

I like it because it will prompt the media to throw it back to the Islanders and the NY media and it will continue to grow as a thing.

Unfortunately while this tactic works for other teams, the league will instead respond by continuing to pull the same bullshit, this time out of a sense of not wanting to appear that they are bowing to outside pressure.

Good on Bruce. Again it begs the question of why it took tonight of all games instead of the Blues headshotting guys left and right without penalty, Acciari getting his skates kicked out from under him before a GWG, Stamkos free-arm tackling McAvoy from behind directly leading to a goal, breakaways against the Lightning getting disrupted by flagrant slashes/hooks/holds, etc. But I digress.

Yea... the best we can hope for is that the refs decide to put the whistles away. Putting the refs on blast only really works if you get out in front of it.

And Tampa Bay has never let the league office forget that Colin Campbell’s kid was on the team. I’m convinced that’s part of this with the refs.
Which is ironic considering what he said about Savard. Yeah. Really in the bag for his son's team there.

In bingo. Have to whine before it is a national story.

If anyone thinks the Bruins will get the friendly whistle in game six they’re deluded. But also.... this series isn’t over yet. Don’t be shocked if Boston plays great and takes game six.
