In a week or so we should have Didi at SS (he might take a while to start hitting but the defensive upgrade should be immediate although Gleyber has been better than I expected), allowing LeMahieu to go to 1B with a late lead, plus Betances in between Britton and Chapman.
Also I understand not playing Hicks three straight on the turf but they really miss his arm as a deterrent out there.
Tomorrow has to be Morales' last day, they need the 40 man spot too for Didi on Friday. Give Thairo a start tomorrow and let DJ play 1st for a whole game, Luke can DH and we can roll the dice with Clint in RF again.
Also I would pair the moves on Friday:
Activate Didi from the 60 day DL.
DFA Kendrys (if he really is such an amazing clubhouse guy as everyone seems to say, evidently the guy who Vlad Sr. told Vlad Jr. to emulate, hire him as immediate assistant hitting coach or assistant bench coach, but he cannot hit anymore).
Sadly send down Thairo who does not deserve it but needs the ABs and is barely playing even before Didi is back, let him play everyday in Scranton. 2018 was mostly a lost year for him, so send him down for now and get him more ABs. He has been one of the most exciting developments for NY this year, still just 23.
Bring up whoever you think is the best of Mike Ford (absolutely crushing in AAA both before and after NY, a ridiculous 1.171 OPS, 13 HRs in 131 ABs) or Brad Miller (.917 OPS, positional flexibility) or Logan Morrison (.870 OPS) or even Ryan McBroom (1.013 OPS), all four of whom are currently crushing for Scranton and would be upgrades on Kendrys. Give someone else a chance, I would say Ford or Miller, Miller would need a 40 man spot too (let the Cessa sweepstakes begin).
Guest, I have a big favor to ask you. We've been working very hard to establish ourselves on social media. If you like/follow our pages it would be a HUGE help to us.
