In one week I'll be in Hawaii trying to figure out what time the games start.

Hopefully I'll still be creating game threads at that point.

At least Angel Hernandez won't be around tonight, MLB moved him to the Mets game because of umpire illness there. Bye bye bye.

Lowest ERA in AL Since April 16 (min 25 IP):

James Paxton 1.01
Jake Odorizzi 1.02
Lucas Giolito 1.40

Chance Adams with a complete game (7 innings because it’s a doubleheader) three hit shutout for Scranton, he has been dominant in AAA for 5 starts now (3 total ERs given up, 0.85 ERA).

both DJ and Gio get better when it matters....
A-Rod sounds stupid a lot, but when he was talking about how 'young' Urshela needed to control his nerves in his ABs on Sunday, I was thinking "have you not seen him?".

Need one more inning from Paxton, he is at 66 pitches and is probably capped around 80.

The catch was impossible because of the bounce, the bad throw was irrelevant.

Hitting in RISP situations has never been a Yankee strength ... until DJ came aboard. Now hitting .471 with runners in scoring position, according to YES stats.

Nothing is easy tonight, making everyone throw a ton of pitches, but Kahnle escapes!

129 pitches through six innings for Paxton/Ottavino/Kahnle, they could use some more runs because they still have three innings to get through and Kahnle threw 20 pitches already.

That's why Terry and I said more runs, never had a good feeling about this one.

On the bright side, Giles did throw a lot of pitches last night and NY has the top of the order up.
